Learning to drive is a costly business, but there are various ways to try and keep those costs to a minimum.

  • Book your lessons in blocks, most schools offer discounts if you pay for 10 or more lessons at one time.
  • As soon as your instructor says you are ready, try to find someone who can supervise you while you get some extra driving practice.
  • You should do some independent research on what is required for the driving test; a little extra information never hurts. Talk to friends who have recently passed their tests, read books or look on the internet.
  • Make sure you book your driving lessons at times when you are awake, alert and ready to concentrate (not after a night out or long day at work.)

Learning to drive can be an enjoyable experience if you approach it with an open mind ready to absorb new skills.
